Super Jump League | A BebopBee Game

A selection of my work on Super Jump League, a fast-paced multiplayer brawler by BebopBee. My goal was to create a vibrant, accessible art style and characters that paid homage to classic arcade games while feeling fresh for mobile audiences.

The Characters

I Conceptualized and executed the designs for multiple champions. This involved creating distinct silhouettes and color palettes to ensure instant readability during chaotic, fast-paced PvP matches on small mobile screens.

From Sketch to Screen: Character Ideation. A look behind the curtain at the early concept phase for Super Jump League. These rough pencil sketches were used to test shape language and personality before moving to color.

Character Skin Variations & Pop Culture Tributes

A key aspect of the Super Jump League monetization strategy was a robust skin system. My goal was to create high-value cosmetic variations that went beyond simple color swaps. I re-imagined our core characters as 'actors' playing different roles, paying homage to legendary figures from cinema, retro cartoons, and classic gaming history.

For this character, the challenge was to translate a globally recognized real-world figure into the game's simplified, geometric art style with a touch of humour.

Environment Design & Background Art

Constructed multi-layered backgrounds (foreground props, mid-ground architecture, far background atmospheric elements) optimized for parallax scrolling to create a sense of depth on 2D mobile screens.
