ThinkFun Friends | A Ravensburger Project
In collaboration with ThinkFun (a division of the Ravensburger Group), I served as the Senior Character Illustrator for the launch of the ThinkFun Friends collection. This project was specifically developed and MESH-accredited with the intention of supporting children’s mental, emotional, and social health.
My role involved the complete visual development of a 12-character ecosystem. From initial shape-language exploration to final retail packaging and environmental art.
The 12-Character Roster
Strategic Character Design: Created expressive animal personalities through bold shape language and "big-eye" aesthetics, fostering immediate emotional trust and instant brand appeal for young children.
Packaging Illustration
Vibrant, narrative-driven box art designed to bring the world of ThinkFun Friends to life.
Aesthetic Consistency: Every environment was crafted to maintain a seamless visual language with the 12-character ecosystem, ensuring a unified brand experience across all physical and digital touchpoints.
Spielwarenmesse 2025 – Nuremberg International Toy Fair
Large-scale environmental graphics for the ThinkFun booth.
Art Direction by Lauren Houston (ThinkFun).

ThinkFun Friends Product Line
ThinkFun Friends board games: Splish Splash, TreeHouse, and Play Date. The collection demonstrates the final illustrations as printed on the physical game boxes, cards, and other components.
Process: From Sketch to Shelf
This sequence illustrates the transition from initial narrative-driven sketches—meticulously composed to respect trade dress "safe zones"—to high-fidelity renders with sophisticated lighting and texture. The final stage showcases the integration of these assets into localized, production-ready packaging for Ravensburger’s global retail markets.
